My name is Giovanna Bernall and I want to share my experience with Mommy and Me classes. My son is 3 years old and full of energy. I originally joined this class to help exert his energy in a constructive way but found many other benefits. Before attending this type of class I wasn’t aware of how much my son enjoyed shapes. It probably sounds silly but my husband and I both work and I never really took the time to bond with my son.
This day and age it’s easy to become distracted with bills and obligations. To miss out on this special time in my son’s childhood would be awful. Trying to bond with him on the playground wasn’t as informative as a class specifically designed to spark both of our interests. Mommy and Me classes are a wonderful way to team up with your child, not only bonding but working together doing fun activities. This experience has allowed me to really discover my son’s personality and help develop it.
Activities at home can be limited. The social experience of a Mommy and Me class in Fort Lauderdale and nearby areas at Flippo’s Kid’s Indoor Playground and Café was unlike anything we ever did together. It was fun, even for me. My son got his energy out and to top it off, the whole thing was very educational. The activities introduced were age specific and entertaining for both of us.
Because Flippo’s offers an indoor playground we can attend every class without being affected by the weather. Summer time in Florida can be hot and miserable so it’s a great alternative to a trip to the park. Not only did these classes offer play time but social interaction not just for my son but for me as well. I got to meet other mom’s with toddlers to share mommy ideas. In the end we both made some friends and had a blast. I have to admit that I felt closer to my child and proud to offer him the healthy experience. We have decided to go weekly and we look forward to our next Mommy and Me class.
